More about Dave

Dave has been riding mountain bikes for 40+ years and shares his passion of trail, riding, and instruction in an energetic, positive manner. Although he loves to teach skills and techniques, Dave often finds that students and guide clients benefit from instruction and support in the mental and emotional realm so that them may tackle challenges and ride to their full potential.

Dave is a certified mountain bike and paddle board instructor with more than a decade of teaching in the Grand Valley. Formerly a fly fishing guide and instructor who traveled the world guiding, he left the fishing industry to start and run an action sports dot com.

He has lived in Grand Junction for 20 years, guides and teaches for other outfits, created the Grand Junction Offroad Mountain Bike Event with Epic Rides and is a Trail Crew Leader who has designed, built, and maintained many of the trails in the Grand Valley.

Where do I meet my DRT guide?

Every curated adventure has a detailed itinerary provided before your adventure. Included in your itinerary, are details where to meet your guide. We can meet a downtown location, pick you up from your accommodations, or meet at a trailhead or boat ramp.

How do I join the DRT Crew?
